What is Occupational Therapy and where do Occupational Therapists work?
Some examples of how Occupational Therapists help others
Occupational Therapists believe in the therapeutic power of Occupations
(subjective experience of activities). It is necessary for people to achieve a
balance in the three key areas of Pleasure, Productivity and Restoration, in order
to achieve wellbeing. (Pierce, 2003) Occupational Therapists help people to participate in occupations by adapting the occupation, the environment or by
developing the person’s skills.
