Information for employers
We are one of the major providers of Post Qualifying Social Work (PQSW) education in the UK with a reputation for providing flexible and imaginative courses. This has enabled us to be at the leading edge of PQ developments and we are increasingly recognised as a Centre of Excellence in this work.
We work with over 50 local authorities in England and have close relationships with these and other partners. A key strength of our PQSW team is the emphasis we place on working closely with partner agencies in the development and delivery of our courses; this collaboration enables us to tailor our course provision to the needs of agencies and their workforce.
The majority of our courses are delivered off-site. Our lecturing team regularly travel the length and breadth of the country so that students can learn at a site accessible to their home or workplace.
In many cases we support local Lecturer Practitioners to deliver our course units within their own agencies.
