Bournemouth University is renowned for providing relevant and professional courses that ensure our students achieve the best education and preparation to be attractive to future employers. The School of Health and Social Care (HSC) has strong relationships with service partners and past students have an excellent record of gaining positions within NHS Hospitals, Community Trusts and in the private health sector.

Key to your own achievements and professional development will be the emphasis on practical experience - placements allow you to apply the theories you will learn as well as prepare you for the reality of your chosen profession.

Courses available with placements in Salisbury include the four pathways of nursing – adult, child, mental health and learning disabilities – midwifery and operating department practice (ODP).

Whichever course you choose to study, you will undertake your practical placements at one of our linked practice sites in and around Salisbury. As 50% of each of these courses is practice related, this placement area is ideal if you live in or near Salisbury. You will only need to travel to Bournemouth on study days.

For those who choose Adult Nursing, you will be able to select Salisbury as your study base as well as your practice base.
