British Hospitality: Trends and Statistics. A research project funded by the British Hospitality Association in association with American Express and Ernst & Young, to compile an invaluable data set for the assessment and evaluation of the hospitality industry in Britain. Discover East Kent Study. An analysis of the organisational effectiveness and performance of the Discover East Kent agency. Isle of Man, Tourism Strategy for the Isle of Man. The development of a full strategy for the tourism sector on the island commissioned by the Manx government. Scotland: An Evaluation of the Environmental Investment Programme for Edinburgh Old Town, a study funded by the European Commission's Historic Cities Programme, to construct a model for the analysis of environmental investment programmes. This study resulted in the development of a software-based model that was installed on computers within Edinburgh's Tourist Office in order to examine and manage the development of tourism in the Old Town. Scotland: Developing a Marketing Strategy and Forecasting International Tourist Arrivals. A study that incorporated econometric forecasting and trend analysis to forecast the future number of international arrivals in Scotland. The study also included a S.W.O.T. analysis to identify potential markets for future targeting. Tourism Multiplier Study of Scotland. most comprehensive and detailed economic impact study ever undertaken. This study, on behalf of the UK Government (Scottish Office) involved the construction of 9 sub-national economic impact models and the development of software to facilitate the upkeep of the models. The study also included the compilation of visitor expenditure manuals for Scotland demonstrating the wide range of visitor expenditure patterns exhibited by various types of tourists to Scotland. Wales: The Economic Impact of the Ferry Services in Wales. A two year project funded by the Department of Transport, which demonstrated the economic impact (using 'ad hoc' multiplier techniques) of the passenger and freight services between Wales and Ireland to the Welsh economy in general and the relevant ports in particular. An Econometric Model of the Welsh Economy was constructed for the Welsh Office to assist with planning and policy making. Forecasting the Future Demand for Water and Sewage Disposal by Tourists.
