IPE
Research Centre in Interactivity, Personalization and Experience
In its formative years the IPE aims to establish a sustainable research environment by:
- Providing an organisational entity for interdisciplinary activities involving the establishment of international interdisciplinary networks and research funding generation in the field of interactivity, personalisation and experience of interactive media;
- Tapping into mentoring schemes to help make research more accessible to new researchers and support the procurement of further funding for leading international visiting fellows;
- Coordinating open workshops involving guest lecturers, BMS faculty and postgraduate students to work through methodologies and develop research solutions;
- Establishing a international research profile in the long-term, with a view to
- Feeding to and from postgraduate/undergraduate programmes directly, by encouraging collaborations between all levels of research, teaching and learning both within our internal research centres and outside BMS. This has already began via The Centre for Excellence in Media Practice Interactive Media forum and the Interactive Media Production Blog. Our Business of Interactive Media project specifically relates to our endeavour to establish closer links between research and teaching.
