Strengths and Activities

All of us are involved in publishing, exhibiting, designing, performing and multi-casting within the field of interactive media research, both via interactive media and alternative forms. Many of us have made significant contributions to research from masters to professorial level, across the range of traditional to practice-based research. Others have established international profiles as designers and producers of artefacts that both constitute and transgress interactive media, exhibited in private and public collections at internationally recognised venues. Some of us are strong coders, conversant in various languages that enable us to be key team players in the building of complex interactive artefacts. All of us are enthused about developing a centre that facilitates internal and external collaborations in networks of knowledge that will expand the field of interactive media research, practice and teaching.

It is hoped that postgraduate and undergraduate students would also be involved directly in research collaborations that tie into our curriculum at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

Other international colleagues who share research interests within the area of interactive media are welcome to join the centre on the basis of mutual agreement.
