The Sir Michael Cobham Library in 2007

Increases in e-journals and e-books have enabled us to remove over 130 meters of shelving in the past year.

We have replaced this with lots of round tables and comfortable seating.

Making the most use of the area with fitted desks

Some of the seats were purchased with donations from the Alumni, friends and supporters of Bournemouth University. These seats have proved very popular for informal group work and social learning.

We are the proud winners of the quinquennial SCONUL Library Design award 2007.
