Copyright: Information for Students with Disabilities

Under the terms of a licence held by the University (CLA) and The Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002, enlarged photocopies of whole books or journals may be made by or for visually impaired people.

Restrictions apply, including:

• such copies must not be put in the library
• at least one copy of the original publisher's edition of the work must have been purchased by the University and be available to other students
• the material must not already be available in large-print format
• copies must be logged as enlarged photocopies when required as part of a survey
• they may not be edited or bound up in a course pack or sold or published
