In 2010 Bournemouth University ratified a new Academic Publications Policy. This policy incorporates Bournemouth University's Institutional Repository Mandate.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the permission of the copyright owner to contribute material if it has been published elsewhere. The principle of Institutional Repositories is well established and some publishers have agreed to allow material to be added to Institutional Repositories without seeking further permission. The SherpaRoMEO Project lists publishers and their policies towards Institutional Repositories. Check their website to see what permissions have been agreed.
