AATA Online

 

Art and Archaeology Technical Abstracts is a comprehensive database of more than 100,000 abstracts related to the preservation and conservation of material cultural heritage, and is provided by the Getty Conservation Institute. You will need to register as a user to access this.

Archaeology Data Service (ADS)

 

ADS gives access to a wide range of archaeological data for researchers, including ArchWay, ArchSearch, CBA publications online, Society of Antiquaries Library, the digital archives of many archaeological projects and links to unpublished PhD theses.

British and Irish Archaeological Bibliography

 

Bibliography of publications covering the archaeology of Great Britain and Ireland. Over 200,000 references to publications published between 1695 and the present day.

Canadian Heritage Information Network

 

CHIN is a gateway giving access to a range of databases and services of interest to archaeologists, conservationists and those concerned with museums and related fields. These databases include the Conservation Information Network (CIN), Curatorial and Historical Index of Publications, Heritage Law Bibliography and Museology Bibliography (BMUSE).

Conservation Information Network (CIN)

 

An international collaboration, the Conservation Information Network (CIN) provides information on the conservation and restoration of cultural property. The Bibliographic Database of the Conservation Information Network (BCIN) provides access to over 190,000 bibliographic citations for conservation literature.

Digimap


Digimap
is a web-based service delivering maps and map data of Great Britain to UK tertiary education. Data is available either to download to use with appropriate application software such as GIS or CAD, or as maps generated by Digimap online. Other Digimap services available include Geology Digimap which enables viewing and printing of maps from the British Geological survey, Historic Digimap offering historic Ordnance Survey maps of Great Britain and Marine Digimap of UK marine and coastal zone map data.

Hospitality and Tourism Complete

Bibliographic database of over 500,000 records from 500 publications covering all areas of hospitality and tourism including demographics and statistics, food and beverage management, hotel management and administration, leisure and business travel, market trends. It combines the records of three renowned collections: Cornell University's Hospitality database, the Lodging, Restaurant & Tourism Index formerly produced by Purdue University and Articles in Hospitality & Tourism (AHT) from the University of Surrey. PubMed

 

PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 18 million citations from Medline and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to 1948 with linking to fulltext articles within PubMed Central, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature.

Note: Medline is the largest component of PubMed and approximately 5,200 journals are currently indexed for Medline. A distinctive feature of MEDLINE is that the records are indexed with NLM's controlled vocabulary, the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

Comprehensive science specific search engine aimed specifically at scientists and researchers for locating scientific, scholarly, technical and medical data on the web. Scopus is an abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources in the sciences and social sciences. Updated daily, it indexes15,000 peer-reviewed journals from more than 4,000 publishers, open access journals, conference proceedings, trade publications, book series, patent records and scientific web pages. It contains over 33 million records, of which 16 million records include references going back to 1996 and 17 million pre-1996 records going back as far as 1841.
