Targeted at academics, students and those who are responsible for community development, the service provides a one-stop source for local, regional and national information on affairs that affect communities throughout the United Kingdom. The site provides daily news updates, policy documents and briefing papers, information on legislation and benefits, statistics, and a daily record of relevant Parliamentary debates, questions and news. It also provides an extensive step-by-step information resource on how to initiate, develop and sustain a community organisation or charity.

SocINDEX with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database and  provides bibliographic information for over 2,100,000 articles including access to the full text of over 820 sociology journals. This database also includes full text for more than 830 books and monographs, and full text for 14,636 conference papers in sociology, social work practice and related subjects.
