About NetSkills

Netskills Internet Training for Bournemouth University

Bournemouth University has a Netskills Gold Scheme licence to use all of the Netskills training materials. The wide range of modules include Introducing the Internet, Searching and Information Skills, Communication and Collaboration, Learning and Teaching, Developing a Web Site, and Web Technologies (such as JavaScript, databases, ASPs, Dreamweaver and FrontPage).

Using the training materials

You can access the training materials by going to Netskills: Training Materials and logging in. You can then download MS Word or PowerPoint files and supplementary materials to assist in training, teaching or individual learning.

A selection of case studies is available to give ideas on the varied uses the materials can be put to within an organisation, with a summary of suggestions including local tailoring, and use informally or formally complementing existing in-house training.

The training materials are regularly updated (at least twice a year) so its worth checking out the materials that you use regularly on the Netskills materials web site.

Details of the licence is available. This describes the usage conditions including not-for-profit internal use by a recognised educational establishment for the training of its staff and registered students, excluding consultancy or services leading to commercial exploitation of the courseware.
