An index of 160,000 records from over 20 British newsreels and cinemagazines released between 1910 and 1979. News on Screen contains 80,000 production documents and links to archive footage from the Pathe newsreel database. News on Screen provides contextual information, including a database of 600 newsreel personnel (editors, sound staff and cameramen), recordings and transcripts of interviews with cameramen and biographies of newsreels and cinemagazines. News on Screen also includes a number of texts on the history of newsreels and a database of relevant books and articles. Access is restricted to ac.uk domains. Moving image can be viewed or downloaded and reused in academic work. It includes a number of different types of information including primary research literature, practical implementation tools, guidelines and policy documents. NHS Evidence incorporates the former National Library for Health.
