ReservationsIf all copies of a book are out on loan, you can reserve it using the Library Catalogue. You can reserve up to six books at a time. Please take note of the collection-site details on the screen, as it will be your responsibility to collect the book from its home site. We will send an alert to your University email address when the reserved item is ready for you to collect, and we will hold the item for you for one week. So that as many students as possible have access to the book-stock, you won't be able to reserve an item for a future loan period whilst you already have that book on loan. Also, you can't reserve a book for a specific date. For reservations that cannot be processed online, please fill out a reservation card at the Help Zone. You may need to use a card if, for example, one or more lending copies of the book show up on the Library Catalogue as being available, but cannot be found on the shelves. Please note that we are unable to accept reservation requests by telephone. Journals: As journals are for reference use only, you cannot request a journal to be brought from another site (unless the item is in the Library Store). Library Store: Requests for journals held in the closed access Library Store can be made on the special Store Request Forms, available at the Help Zone. Please allow 2 to 3 working days for items to be brought up from the Store. We will send an alert to your University email address, when the item is ready for you to collect. |
