Help and Advice

Each Library has a Subject Advice Service where trained staff will help you find information.

The Help Zone in Bournemouth House Library and on the ground floor of The Sir Michael Cobham Library handles basic IT queries as well as providing help in using the Library.

The Libraries provide online access to a wide range of electronic information services (e.g. e-books, e-journals and databases). Most of these are also available off-campus. To use our electronic resources, go to the Library Tab on myBU, or go to the Catalogues and Resources section of our web pages.

(E-resources are accessible to BU staff and students only).

If you have any difficulties in finding information or using Library resources, please ask your Subject Librarian for assistance. You may email them direct or ask staff at the Subject Advice Desk to make an appointment for you.

You can also get one-to-one help or advice through the Library's online Chat service. Or try our virtual question and answer facility at askBU. Both available via Library Enquiry Services.
