- In 2008, Bournemouth became top for new businesses with the largest growth in new businesses in the UK
- As the town is the top place for business creation, it was important for BU to contribute to the local economy. We assisted this last year by boosting output by £172.5 million and will continue to work hard in this area
- BU was successful in winning the Sharing the Flame project bid. This 2012 Olympic Game-related project is helping raise awareness and maximise business opportunities associated with the Olympics in the South West UK.
