BU is holding a postgraduate open evening for those looking to improve their job prospects on Wednesday 2 September 2009.

The event takes place at BU’s brand new learning facility, the Executive Business Centre (EBC), on the Lansdowne Campus, in the heart of Bournemouth’s commercial district.

During the evening, students can meet course leaders from BU’s Business School to discuss their options.

Postgraduate study for Autumn 2009 is available in Business, Management, Human Resources (full-time and part-time), Marketing, Finance and Law as well as the new Bournemouth MBA, which is available full-time and part-time.

Students will also have the opportunity to take part in a free taster session on ‘Behavioural Issues in Finance’, run by Malcolm Hosking, Associate Dean for Postgraduate Students.

The brief talk will include an overview of some of the topical issues involved in the area of performance management, including the modern trend for companies to query the use and effectiveness of traditional budgetary control systems, and the potential dysfunctional nature of performance measurement systems.

The evening starts at 5.30pm with registration and refreshments. There will be an opportunity for potential students to tour the new state-of-the-art executive education learning facilities.
