Graduates get film premiered at international film festival

Two BU graduates to have their film premiered at the Cinequest International film festival in San Jose, California.

Two BU graduates are getting their debut film, The Harsh Light of Day premiered at the Cinequest International film festival in San Jose, California at the end of this month.

The festival is being held from the 28 February to 11 March, but before this world premiere the film will be distributed at The European film market in Berlin from the 10-12 Feb, followed by the UK theatrical release in April.

Emma Biggins and Oliver Milburn, Emma a Producing Film & TV MA and Ollie a Directing Digital Film and Television MA, told BU news:

“Both Ollie and I are absolutely thrilled that all our hard work has paid off, and are looking forward to promoting the film and seeing it sell around the world. With further projects in development, we hope it will really give a boost to our careers and towards establishing ourselves in the industry.”

Continuing, “It’s going to be surreal seeing our film in cinemas and eventually on the shelf in our local Tesco and HMV!”
