Undergraduate Course

Our Psychology BSc is accredited by the British Psychological Society. Although demand for places is high, we encourage prospective students to look at the details on our website. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and supportive group who will challenge your ideas and expectations while you are at BU.

Postgraduate Courses

MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology is a unique course which draws upon the expertise of over 30 clinical psychologists from the Dorset area around Bournemouth.

Teaching on this course uses a patient-centred approach and learning is case-led. It offers graduates an in-depth knowledge of the theories and practice which underpin clinical psychology together. Unusually, a short placement experience is an integral part of the course.

MSc Lifespan Neuropsychology, this course focuses on the neuropsychology and cognitive changes that occur across the entire lifespan. The normal and abnormal changes that occur in the human brain from birth, through childhood into adulthood and older age are key topics for psychologists interested in gaining a fundamental understanding of human cognition.

Postgraduate Study

There are opportunities to study for a PhD on either a full-time or part-time basis. Initial enquiries should be made to Prof Siné McDougall. For information about PhD studentships we are currently offering, please visit our PhD Studentships page.
