The Gym

The newly refurbished gym houses a large range of modern and user-friendly fitness equipment, including some new IFI accredited machines.

The Gym has a lively and friendly atmosphere and our facilities offer something for everyone:

• A state of the art cardiovascular room with a good range of CV machines, each offering individual listening stations
• The main gym brings together a vast range of resistance equipment, a separate core stability and abdominal area, and a 32" plasma TV to keep you motivated while you work out
• The free weight room has undergone a facelift, and not just a cosmetic one. It now boasts a 32" plasma TV, a smith machine and extensive upgrades to all of our dumbells, benches and racks
• Summer 2007 saw sportBU spend another £30K on updating machines within the gym. This has strengthened the centres partnership with Cybex International further with the installation of eight brand new machines.

To join the Gym and take advantage of unlimited use of all three rooms, you can purchase a Pulse or Activ8 membership from sportBU Reception.

If you don't want to commit yourself, why not pay-as-you-go?

Simply book an induction (cost £16.50) and then pay £4.00 for every training session thereafter.
