Football Scholarships (Men and Women)

Football scholarships are usually awarded to individuals who have achieved a high standard of performance prior to and during attendance at the university.

Typical backgrounds of the players who have received scholarships include professional 1st and reserve team level, England schools U15, 16 & 19's age group.

These scholarships are not awarded until the completion of the varsity football trials.

Current county players are not usually awarded scholarships in year 1.

However it is possible for players of this standard to be awarded a scholarship during their second, third and/or fourth year if they are regularly representing the university 1st team in BUCS competition and are currently playing non league football at Step 3 level or above (Ryman/Southern/Unibond Premier).

Female applicants are expected to be playing at Premier South
