Varsity Sports

Varsity sport is inter-university level.

Bournemouth also competes in the BUCS Championships in a number of sports.

Matches for team sports take place on Wednesday afternoons with individual championships at various points during the academic year.

At the start of each academic year sportBU runs trials for the University sports teams, where athletes are selected to join the squads.

Bournemouth has an excellent track record in these competitions.

In particular, it produces regular winning performances in badminton, cricket, golf and tennis.
