The aim of staff development is therefore to ensure that both individuals and the University improve their performance and contribution by providing the environment, direction and opportunity for individuals to develop within the context of the University's priorities.
The University also recognises the potential of individual members of staff and aims to provide opportunities for staff to develop personally as well as professionally, which in turn can enhance job satisfaction.
