BU Development Guides

The BU Development Guides suggest materials from our online Management Toolkit to support the development of core skills and behaviours.

Using the Association of University Administrators’ (AUA) framework of professional behaviours as a starting point, these guides cover a range of topics, from specific skills like giving feedback or delegation to wider subjects such as delivering excellent service.

The AUA model, designed following research involving 48 HE institutions, highlights behaviour patterns that distinguish effective performance in 9 key areas. The BU Development Guides suggest materials from the Management Toolkit to support development in each of these areas.

Go to the myBU log on page
Use your normal PC username and password
Select the Management Toolkit from the list of communities in which you are participating
Click on the BU Development Guide button
