Wellbeing: the Manager's Role

Through proactively managing the wellbeing of your staff you help create a strong foundation for achieving the BU vision. Work-related stress is a major cause of occupational ill health, leading to sickness absence, high staff turnover and poor performance. As a manager you have a legal and moral responsibility for the wellbeing of those who work for and with you.

This workshop is intended to help you fulfil this role effectively.

This session will cover:

  • What is stress and what effect does it have?
  • The legal context
  • Identifying the causes of work-related stress
  • The line manager's role in dealing with stress
  • The Mindful employer
