Following the recent review of the Professional and Support Staff Performance Appraisal Scheme, we would like to emphasise the value of the tool for personal, professional and career development, all of which will align with the refreshed BU Vision and Values (to be published in July) and the evolving BU behaviours framework.

Please note that in order to provide maximum flexibility the events below can be attended individually, or combined on the same day to make a longer workshop.
| Setting and Reviewing Appraisal Objectives |

This 2 hour workshop is for professional and support staff appraisers and appraisees and explores issues around setting strategic appraisal objectives. It will include good practice in cascading objectives; the roles of the appraiser and appraisee in identifying objectives; articulating expectations; making the objectives achievable; and identifying evidence for review purposes. |

This 2 hour workshop explores the University’s expectations of professional and support staff and will support appraisers and appraisees in ways to identify short-term and long-term development objectives. Participants will develop some PPDP Tools to take away from the workshop and will help to shape a Tool that can be used for all appraisers and appraisees in the future.
