The Diversity and Equality team promotes diversity and equality good practice throughout the University through our their individual specialist areas.

The group works closely with staff and students, develops and initiates projects and co-ordinates training and events, all with an aim of supporting individuals, increasing knowledge and understanding of diversity and equality issues, and embedding diversity and equality into areas of the working and learning environment.

Equality Act at BU 2010
The aim of this event is to provide an update on recent changes to equality legislation which come into force from the 1 October 2010. It will explain for staff what groups are protected by the Equality Act, what is happening to existing legislation and considers the impact on students, staff and visitors to BU.
