Supporting Students with Dyslexia

 

This workshop aims to:

  1. Explain what a Specific Learning Difference ( SpLD), particularly dyslexia, is and how it impacts on life and learning.
  2. Explain the process of screening, diagnosing  and supporting students and staff with an SpLD at the university.
  3. Focus on recognising signs of dyslexia in students’ work.
  4. Discuss  various support strategies, including the application of Marking Guidelines, to enable student independence
