Managing Your Own Wellbeing

This workshop is about ‘Stressing the Positive’, focusing on your own stress and will include:

  • Exploring stress awareness - defining stress and the impact on your wellbeing (psychological and physical).
  • Stress triggers – recognising the signs, your triggers and identification of stress-related problems.
  • Proactive self-management – when to take action and what you can do.
  • Risk assessment – a practical assessment tool.
  • Your workplace – BU’s role in promoting a positive working environment, and explaining the HSE Stress Management Standards.
  • Coping – personal action planning to help you take control and increase your coping skills.
  • Resources – where to get help.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to develop their resilience, and ability to cope with life at work and home.
Facilitated by Clarice Wickenden, Staff Wellbeing and Occupational Health Adviser.
