BU Bike User Group

Cycling is fun, healthy and cheap.

It's also often quicker in many towns than many other forms of transport.

As part of the University’s Travel Plan, summer 2004 saw the setting up of the new Bournemouth University Bike User Group – BUBUG!

The group is open to all staff and students and intends to meet at least once every term.

The Chair of BUBUG represents the group on the Travel Plan Group.

To advise the University, through the Travel Plan Group, on all issues relating to cycling
To seek to improve facilities for cyclists, both within the university, and in the boroughs of Bournemouth and Poole
To arrange discounts with local shops and providers
To promote cycling within the University community
To arrange cycling-related events within the University
