Cycling Facilities on Campus
SecurityTo help you keep your bike safe BU provides secure compounds on each campus, as well as other facilities for cyclists. Entry is by use of a coded lock or swipe card, available from Poole House Reception or the Student Union shop in Bournemouth House, swipe cards require a refundable deposit of £5. Security on Talbot CampusThere are two secure bike storage compounds on the Talbot campus; one behind Kimmeridge House and a newly installed enclosure behind the sports hall. You can also secure your bike to a ‘Sheffield stand’ or bike rack at various points around the Talbot Campus. Security on Lansdowne CampusAt the Lansdowne campus you will find bike lock-up areas behind Studland House, Lyme Regis House and Purbeck House, and secure compounds at the side of Cranborne House, Melbury House and Bournemouth House and behind the Executive Business Centre. Showers and LockersThere are male and female showers and lockers in a purpose built facility on the ground floor at the rear of Christchurch House, on the Talbot Campus. You will also find showers and lockers on the ground floor of Bournemouth House, and in Melbury House (on the first, third, and fifth floors), as well as shower facilities on the 5th and 7th floor of Studland House at the Lansdowne campus.
