BUBUG represents its member’s opinions in University and external organisations.

BU Travel Plan Group

BUBUG is a member of the University’s Travel Plan Group, whose aim is to encourage and support sustainable travel options and reduce our reliance on single occupancy car journeys.

Suggestions for improvements in facilities, enquiries about cycling related issues, etc, can be taken to the Travel Plan Group meetings by the BUBUG Chair.

Bournemouth Cycling Forum

The Forum is made up of:

  • Councillors and staff from Bournemouth and Poole Borough Councils
  • Representatives from CTC (Cycling Touring Club of Great Britain)
  • Representatives from DCN (Dorset Cyclists Network)
  • Local employers (such as Royal Bournemouth Hospital and J P Morgan).

If you have any cycling related issues that you would like to be put forward for discussion at the next meeting of the Forum, please email BUBUG.

Members of the public are able to attend these meetings should they wish to.

This Forum is an ideal group to both get views across, and to learn from other cyclists.

Meetings take place in the Town Hall in Bournemouth approximately every 3 months
