Education awardsVice Chancellor's Staff Awards 2011 - 'Ensuring an Excellent Student Experience'
The first Vice-Chancellor's Awards were presented at an award event on the 4th May 2011. The awards recognise those staff that have made an exceptional contribution to the student experience. Awards were made for excellence in service provision as well as in education, research, enterprise and professional practice and were open to all categories of staff. >> Details of the winners (PDF 11kb) Internal awards provide a sound basis for applications to external awards and fellowship schemes, including the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme managed by the Higher Education Academic (HEA). BU Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning 2009The 2009 Bournemouth University Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning recognised the achievements of 35 members of staff. The 2009 Awards were celebrated at an event hosted by the Vice-Chancellor on the 17th December 2009. Further details of the winners' innovative approaches to education, including videos showcasing their work are available at: BU Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning 2008In 2008 the innovative education practice of 30 staff was recognised through these awards. For further details of the award winners and their innovations see: Teaching Fellowship Scheme 2002-2008BU Learning and Teaching Fellowships were established in July 2002. Since then 36 members of University staff have received the Fellowship award. The fellowship scheme has since been replaced by the BU awards. |
