Educational Development and Quality

Educational Development and Quality is responsible for the development and maintenance of the system and processes of academic quality assurance and for facilitating quality enhancement throughout the University and its collaborative partnerships. To this end, EDQ:

  • develops policy and procedures for the design, delivery, assessment and monitoring of academic programmes to assure standards and enhance the quality of provision
  • provides resources to support curriculum design and enhance teaching, learning and assessment approaches
  • provides training and support for professional development in education practice
  • manages the University engagements with external quality assurance bodies
