Framework/Programme specifications

Programme specifications is the defining document for academic programmes and awards and includes information on:

  • the aims
  • intended learning outcomes
  • curriculum content
  • structure
  • assessment methods
  • learning and teaching methods
  • progression opportunities
  • assessment regulations

Programme specifications are approved by the University at the point of validation and periodic review and made available to students through Programme Handbooks.

Current and past Programme Specifications are available on the portal for reference. Past Programme Specifications provide contextual data for the Diploma Supplements issued to students on completion of a BU programme.
