Quality Assurance and Enhancement Group![]() The Quality Assurance and Enhancement Group (QAEG) is a well-established feature of the University's quality assurance and enhancement framework whose members undertake an important peer review role. QAEG members are approved by Academic Standards Committee and invited to take part in a range of activities including independent membership of framework/programme approval panels, boards of examiners and academic offences panels and in the peer review of external examiner nominations for both taught programmes and for research degree examination teams. QAEG has been successively commended through external audit for its role in assuring standards and enhancing the quality of provision, but also for the cross-institutional, and personal development that it fosters. Membership contributes to academic citizenship within the University and can also provide strong evidence to support external opportunities such as external examining appointments or as evidence of supporting colleagues in a National Teaching Fellowship Scheme claim. QAEG membership is voluntary and participation in the activities outlined above is by invitation to accommodate members interests and workloads. To be eligible to apply, nominees should have experience in one or more of the following areas which will determine the nature of the activities offered:
