Student Engagement, Feedback and Surveys
BU feedback mechanismsObtaining feedback from students on their learning experience is an important component in the quality assurance and enhancement of programmes. Feedback is sought at different levels within BU to maximise opportunities to hear and respond to students which include:
The Higher Education Academy Postgraduate Experience SurveysThe postgraduate experience surveys are a unique online service provided by the Higher Education Academy to all UK higher education institutions. The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) allow institutions to collect feedback from current postgraduate students in a systematic and user-friendly way. Results are anonymous, allowing comparison against sector benchmarks and previous years' survey results whilst ensuring that they are used for internal enhancement rather than as league tables. National Student SurveyThe NSS is an annual national survey targeted at final year undergraduates from higher education programmes. The survey is commissioned by HEFCE and administered independently by IPSOS-MORI. The results are made available to participating universities and on the Unistats website.
