Food and Drink

Talbot Campus

A range of catering facilities are offered by Chartwells Catering and The School of Tourism.

The Retreat

The Retreat is managed by The School of Tourism and is situated on the ground floor of Poole House and designated for Staff and their visitors only.

Recent refurbishments have turned this area into a bright, light and relaxing place to rest, meet and recharge your batteries or take your visitors. A good area for informal meetings, refreshments are available at less than commercial prices from 09.00 – 14.30.

The Retreat is also an ideal place for freshly prepared daily lunches served from 12.00 – 14.00. Just turn up or be on the safe side and reserve your table by email should you want to entertain. On offer always a choice of salads, paninis, vegetarian dishes, Fairtrade and mostly locally sourced and/or produced products.

As BU’s Staff Common Room, the area can also be made available for a host of varied activities e.g. conventions, presentations, exhibitions, meetings, receptions, dinners, dancing competitions …– the list is only limited by your imagination.
