Ashley is a Registered Nurse and academic with experience in the care of people with acute illness, having worked in the acute setting before developing her role as a nurse academic. She is a lecturer in Adult Nursing teaching in units related to anatomy & physiology and bioscience in nursing. She still works as a nurse in the acute setting.
Her particular areas of interest are dementia and end of life care. She is currently undertaking her PhD, the title of her thesis is: 'The Development of an Intervention to Improve End-Of-Life Care for People with Dementia in Care Homes.'
