Digital skills self-assessment

FLIE has developed a self-assessment questionnaire which aims to identify the digital skills of BU’s academic staff.

The purpose of the questionnaire is to capture information about the level of confidence in digital skills across BU, especially in the area of teaching and learning, for BU academic staff. The questionnaire is focused on BU teaching staff but it can be completed by any BU staff.

Participation is voluntary but we hope all BU academic staff will be willing to complete the questionnaire. It will take between 10 and 15 minutes of your time to complete.

The questionnaire will give you an opportunity to assess you skills and confidence in the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) area. This information can be used as a basis for development, perhaps using the TEL Toolkit to help you. If the assessment shows you have TEL strengths, you may want to contact FLIE with a view to helping other BU academics with their own skills, running workshops or engaging in wider FLIE activities, research etc.

When you have completed the questionnaire, you have the opportunity to print or download it as a permanent record.

We would like to use the questionnaire as the basis for aligning the support activities of FLIE and other BU departments and to achieve this we may ask you to complete the questionnaire more than once.
