Public engagement & outreach activities
- Leading the animation workshop with artist Ngendo Mukii to collaborate with visual artists from the Kibera slum in Nairobi. Consulted on the curation of the In/Visible Margins exhibition at the ShiftEye Gallery.
- A series of workshops with youth in Prishtina in collaboration with ANIBAR as part of a GCRF Project Changing the Story that focused upon arts and activism amongst the youth.
- In a Pot of Hot Soup: Curating Contemporary Nigerian Art is a lecture on the curatorial considerations of presenting Nigerian contemporary art in the UK as it responds to various political discourse. It focuses upon the range of themes that emerge from the different geographies: gender, the everyday struggles, the environment and the art of politics. It considers how to frame these different pieces of work in a Western context considering the ethical aspects of political discourse.
