Sarah joined BU in 2011 following the completion of her PhD from the University of Southampton which lay at the intersect of European Union law, European Private Law and Private International Law with an emphasis on international trade facilitation. Sarah currently brings these areas of interest to the teaching of Law of the European Union, Commercial Law and Law of International Trade.

After heading the LLM degree and Graduate Diploma in Law, Sarah is now the programme leader for the LLB Law degrees and oversees the education and student experience of our law undergraduate students. This has seen her research interest turn to Higher Education policy, consumer protection law and their role in the regulation of the Higher Education market.
