Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership is a partnership between Dorset’s businesses and local authorities, determining local economic priorities for the region. Its fundamental objective is to facilitate improved productivity of businesses in Dorset by encouraging a strongly performing and sustainable economy, through boosting higher paid, better skilled jobs and supporting the delivery of the enabling infrastructure and housing.

We are now looking to recruit a Programme Manager – Growing Places Fund to manage the Growing Places Fund, a £9.4m revolving capital loan fund, with duties including promotion activity, engaging with stakeholders, due diligence, contracting and monitoring. The role will also involve working with the Programme Manager – Local Growth Fund to manage a caseload of funded capital projects on behalf of Dorset LEP.

This role will include responsibility for keeping PMO systems up to date and fit for purpose, reporting accurate and timely management information to the LEP Board and Government; developing good partnership working externally and supporting other LEP executive functions.

You will have a recognised project or programme management qualification and experience of working on the delivery of significant capital or revenue funded projects, with an aptitude for strong due diligence and performance monitoring. An understanding and knowledge of the local Dorset economy, relevant key government policy and the political climate locally and nationally would be advantageous.
