The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) is excited to offer a new series of online events to explore how business resilience, entrepreneurial resilience and crisis management can provide exciting and worthwhile career paths.
These two-hour online sessions are perfect for undergraduate students in their second and third year who are considering their next steps after their degree. The sessions are also open to colleagues seeking to develop their careers, or who are wishing to change career paths.
Events will take place between 11am to 1pm:
Friday 4 July – online via Zoom
Friday 11 July – online via Zoom
Friday 1 August – online via Zoom
Friday 8 August – online via Zoom.
Each event will include:
Recent stories of the DMC's real-world activity both overseas and in the UK
A short ‘Crisis Hour’ discussion related to a current crisis in the world
A simulation exercise where you can practice your decision-making and communication skills in a realistic scenario
Short briefing on how an MSc in Disaster Management can become an excellent gateway for you to enter into multiple career paths. Colleagues from the DMC will work with you individually to highlight the specific topics you might like to focus upon.
