The Global Talent Programme has joined forces with Natwest, Wessex Green Hub, the BU Project Management Team and Student Project Bank to bring you the unique Virtual Project Lab as part of the Disciplined Researcher Badge.
Over two afternoons, you our aspiring leaders and problem solvers, will have the opportunity to take part in a project management masterclass, a pitching workshop and work on a project in groups virtually in response to a real-life challenge mapped to the UN Sustainable Development Goals #9 Industry, innovation and Infrastructure, #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, #13 Climate Action.
The project brief is a real-life project that will benefit your local community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in cross faculty groups together on a project virtually over a period of 3 weeks. You will then pitch your idea back to a panel of experts who will choose a winning team and the idea to implement in practice.
Day 2 agenda: 24 March
Project teams will pitch their ideas to our panel of experts
You will hear about how the skills you have developed from this experience will benefit your future career
Learn how to articulate what you have learned from this experience on your CV and in your future applications
A winning team will be announced and group feedback will be given.
You can choose to attend only one of the two days, however you would benefit the most from the process if you complete the whole lab. Please note that the two sessions must be booked separately.
Instructions on how to access the webinar will be emailed to you upon confirmation of your booking.
While open to other BU students, the session is designed and delivered specifically for the students participating in the Global Talent Programme. Attendance and reflection from the session allow students to gain core credit towards their Disciplined Researcher badge.
