Immersive Media – a passing novelty, or a new name for a form of storytelling that is as old as time?
Dr Carina Westling, Bournemouth University
Carina Westling will be discussing the immersive aesthetic in media and the arts from a historical perspective and introducing theoretical perspectives that allow for critical and creative interrogation.
Dr Carina Westling is a media and cultural studies scholar who researches digital media and cultures. She specialises in the tensions and opportunities formed between the technical, social and discursive aspects of multimedia environments and design for immersive, AR/VR and blended applications.
