The third annual Maritime Archaeology Conference hosted by Bournemouth University. This year’s theme is the archaeology and History of the Royal Navy.
This conference will feature talks and displays from a wide range of specialists in the maritime history and archaeology of the Navy, as well as a display of artefacts from various warships
Speakers will include
Ian Friel - a freelance writer, historian and museum consultant specialising in medival maritime archaeology
Alex Hildred – Curator at the Mary Rose Trust
Dave Parham - Associate Professor in Maritime Archaeology
Colin Martin – the pioneer of nautical archaeology in the UK
Dan Pascoe - Maritime Archaeologist and Licensee of the Invincible
Brian Lavery - British naval historian, author, and Curator Emeritus at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
Jermemy Michell - National Maritime Museum curator responsible for the ship plans collection and the polar relics
Attending the conference will also count towards Nautical Archaeology Society. Part II certificate.
