Have you been struggling with Multi-Factor Authentication? Using the Microsoft Authenticator app can help simplify the process.
IT Services will be running a drop-in clinic on Tuesday 30 November between 12-2pm, in the Fusion Building, to help staff and students get set up with the app.
The Microsoft Authenticator app is the easiest way to authenticate, and all staff and students can use it by downloading the app to their smartphone.
Using the Microsoft Authenticator app has the following benefits:
No reliance on a phone signal to receive a text code as the app works using Wifi – this is particularly beneficial for staff that have a weak or intermittent phone signal at home or when a phone network is down
You can change your password directly from the app by clicking on 'change password'
You can change your authentication methods or security information (registered phone number or email address) by clicking on 'update security info'
Recent sign-ins can be reviewed by clicking on 'review recent activity'.
Please come and join IT Services on Tuesday 30 November, located at the desk by the Share Lecture Theatre.
