Bournemouth House will continue to operate with a limited service for the rest of university term (Monday 9 December – Friday 13 December) due to issues created as a result of a gas leak.
The building is remains safe, however there continues to be no hot water and limited heating to the building while SGN - the gas provider – are on site to resolve the issue. Both the cause of the leak and the subsequent required repairs are outside of the control of the university.
Catering will reopen at the beginning of the week on a trial basis.
Bournemouth House library will continue to operate normal hours, including over the weekend, with temporary heating in place. A small number of teaching rooms will continue to operate with temporary heating in place throughout the week.
Please check your online timetable before setting off, as your timetabled activity may have been moved or postponed, though provision has been made for most activity to take place as planned.
Students are encouraged to look at other working options due to the lack of heat and hot water, with the Sir Michael Cobham Library on Talbot Campus open as usual, and open access and staff areas available throughout our campuses.
