The highway improvement works at Boundary Roundabout are progressing as planned and the council are now moving onto the final stage of the works.
To undertake the remaining carriageway resurfacing works, anti-skid surfacing, and lay road markings sections of the carriageway will need to be closed to vehicles. The following road closures are planned:
- Thursday 18 March, 7pm to 2am - the southside of Boundary Roundabout will be closed to traffic. Traffic signals will be in place to aid traffic through the roundabout
- Friday 19 March, 7pm to 2am - Talbot Avenue eastbound lanes will be closed to traffic
- Monday 29 March to Friday 2 April between 7pm and 7am - Boundary Roundabout will be closed to traffic travelling in all directions. Closures will be in place between Talbot Avenue Roundabout and University Roundabout in both directions and between Gillett Road and Boundary Road in both directions
- Gillet Road will remain closed for the duration of the works.
During the road closures diversion routes will be in place and signed accordingly. Every effort has been made to keep any inconvenience and disruption to a minimum.
Should an emergency occur out of normal hours, please telephone 01202 451145 and your message will be passed on to the relevant personnel.
These works are weather dependant and therefore subject to change. The BCP Council website provides details of the scheme and will be regularly updated throughout the works.
